Character Description:
An unassuming man in unassuming attire. You probably could have just walked right past him without a care in the world about his existence. Truth be told, he'd probably like that. He stands shorter than most men and looks even feebler with his slouch and thin physique. Catching a glimpse of his face you see a wrinkled face worn by the years and a stubborn salt and pepper hairline that fights it's recession to baldness. Knowing grey eyes quickly avert themselves as he shuffles along.
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
Percy really is a nice guy once you get to know him. But doing that is a challenge in itself. Percy is anti-confrontational ad nasuem. He avoids every social situation he isn't mandated to attend to and spends most of his time cooped up in his office or dormitory. He is slow to anger and very patient so it's hard to make him angry, but when you do, be careful, he'll hold that grudge until the day he dies. When he teaches he almost becomes a different person, his eyes sparkle with the passion of a young man for his subject, and he is enthused every day. More than you can say for his students.
As for the cult, and the blood feud, and such, Percy tries not to get too involved, too much pointless fighting for his care. He just wishes everyone would settle down and be quiet so he could enjoy his tea or paint a nice landscape.
Background
Mother: Selena Morgan (Age: Deceased)
Selena Morgan was a scientist of the age, making groundbreaking achievements in the field of Chemistry, she was renowned worldwide for her calculating mind and her boisterous personality. She lived a long fruitful life to the age of 102 when she passed away two days after her husband.
Father: Albert Morgan (Age: Deceased)
Albert Morgan was a man of magic, often a point of conflict with his wife Selena, a woman of calculations and experiments. Albert saw the wonder in the world, and his wife saw the elements that made it up. Despite this they had a love that transcended worlds, and led them to give birth to a child, Percy. Albert passed away when he was 98, two days before his wife.
Country of Origin: Britain
Heritage: Half-Blood, born to a Muggle Mother and a Pureblod Father
History: Percy was born in 2035 in a London hospital. Percy was always an interesting anomaly in his childhood. He was a child prodigy from a young age, and attended a muggle school system until he turned eleven. After much debating, his parents agreed he would attend Hogwarts during the year and continue his muggle education during the summer, after graduating Secondary School at age 13 (and college at age 17 the same year as his graduation from Hogwarts) Percy took to traveling the world. Every once in awhile he'd teach at a muggle university for a semester to pay for his travels, before he eventually settled down in a small Japanese village, enjoying their simple peaceful life and their respect for manners and culture.
Percy spent the next 30 years of his life in Japan, learning the arts of Painting, Calligraphy, and Blacksmithing. Also in Japan is where he discovered Arithmancy, the perfect blend of Math and Magic, his two life passions. He studied for years, becoming extremely prolific in the branch of magic, as many of the Arithmantic scholars stemmed from Japan, where the study was much more prominent. At the midpoint of his time in Japan, a particularly lengthy study in Arithmancy backfired and destroyed his wand, leading to his return to Britain for three months, though ultimately he decided not to stay and returned to Japan, where spent the latter half of that 30 years.
After the death of his parents, Percy found he was becoming unhappy, and sought something new. Remembering the joy he felt whenever he'd teach at the muggle universities, he decided to become a professor of Arithmancy. For five years he taught in France, Germany, Japan, America, and Germany again, before finally deciding on Hogwarts being the place for him.
