Black, mildy curly hair cascades down to his shoulders, mostly swept back out of his face or tied back in a neat ponytail. Brilliant, dark green eyes, accented by a golden ring in the middle of each iris, stare out from a slim, well-proportioned face. Slim neck moves down towards a lean-muscled frame, limbs long and balanced, just on the verge of being defined as gangly. He could be described as a mix of feminine and masculine properties, slim with slightly wide hips, which wasn't too obvious. He wore the basic Slytherin uniform, often keeping the hood up or a hat on when outdoors due to his light-sensitive eyes. After class or on weekends he will wear the same basic shirt, pants, and shoes, replacing the robe with a nice nehru-collar waistcoat and the hood with a flat cap to keep the sun out of his eyes. He has a scar that runs diagonally outwards beneath his left eye. He fingers are long and slim, often holding things with his fingers and palm instead of in a fist-like grip, delicate but strong.
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
Garrett could easily be described as 'laid-back'. He can be serious, or irritated, or sarcastic, but nothing ever seems to really get him riled up and angry. He can be fair and honest, but also cunning and wicked, when the situation warrants, and isn't afraid of getting revenge, with a bad habit of holding grudges. He holds himself to a fairly high standard and becomes irritated if he does not meet his own expectations, but only at himself, only blaming others when it is actually their fault. He also often overthinks everything, which can be good or bad, thinking many steps ahead and, when alone, thinking of what to do in various random situations simply out of boredom. He can also be intolerant of large amounts of either ignorance and stupidity, one of the few things that truly gets him riled up, though he may not vocalize it. His voice is low and a tad deep, with a hint of a german accent, but not much. He tends to be secretive about personal information. In conversations he is fairly polite unless someone has wronged him or done something idiotic recently. While ambitious and intelligent, he does not brag despite his pride; He keeps it to himself.

Garrett was born in Cologne, an old German city, to Adelinde and Deidrich Waldgrave. He grew up in relative peace, his parents teaching him various things such as wandlore and how to brew tea as he grew up, filling him with random factoids. His sister Katarina was born five years after him, and grew up relatively comfortable and same as him. Due to working for the German ministry of magic, they were fairly well off. Eventually, however, they desired to move out of the city and so moved to a small town in England, transferring to the British ministry.
When he was ten, there was a cult attack in the mainly-muggle town, a freak fire caused by a storm burning down many houses. The family survived, save Katarina, who had been out playing with her muggle friends and so was not spared. This event was fairly traumatic for Garrett, and would later colour his personality in darker hues.
The next year, when he turned eleven, he was sent a letter by hogwarts announcing his acceptance and what he would need. He got books, robes, and other various items from Diagon Ally, saving his ollivander wand for last. At this time he was still in something of a depressive slump, but it wasn't so bad that he needed a councilor or magic help, and so it seemed this effected what wand would pick him. After going through several, a wand of Yew, core of braided Thestral Hair, chose him with a show of writhing lights, and so began his beginnings as a Wizard.
His first year at hogwarts was marked by the sorting hat's indecision between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, finally choosing the latter, and a marked tendancy for his wand to cause things to combust in the manner of a flare shot when he was feeling particularly down. After he came back for his second year, his wand was much more cooperative, having come to accept death as a fact of life, and so his wand agreed with him much more often.
Now, as a fourth year Slytherin student, he aims to do well and reflect well on his house and his parentage, bringing honor to his family name and perhaps even his family's business.
Note: Owns a female raven by the name of Nevermore, uses it instead of an owl.
