Personality/Beliefs Outline: Paige is a strange one alright, pretty relaxed and always willing to go with the flow. In fact, it's how she prefers things. Not prone to taking charge, she usually will stand on the sidelines, and let others make the important decisions. Afterall, she much prefers to be an observer, then right in the middle of things. Now, that isn't to say she is afraid, shy or timid, because by all means, she is anything but. Set forth a challenge, and she is more than likely to take it, but will do so at her own leisure. As far as relating to others, Paige usually associates with a few more male friends than female. This is because she doesn't find much interest in the topics more other girls her age would choose to converse in. While she wouldn't mistaken for a boy more than a few times in her life. She'd never say, but she would seem to enjoy the mystery around her.
Though quiet, and sometimes expressionless, Paige can be overly-protective of the people she cares about. Still, slow to anger, and quick to forgive, is what sets this chick apart from the rest.
Background
Mother: Meredith Coughlin (Maiden name: Gilliam) - Occupation? Who cares.
Father: Glyn Coughlin - Healer
Siblings: N/A
Country of Origin: Wales
Heritage: Welsh, Half-blood
History: Maybe the lack of a motherly figure was to blame for Paige's strange personality? Well, maybe not. Who's to say that Meredith would've been a great role model, anyway? Afterall, she hadn't exactly been the most orthodox of girls, running away to elope with the man she had wrapped around her finger since 5th year. Barely 18 when married, and hardly 19 when she gave birth, it didn't take long for the woman to realize that she hadn't really been ready to settle down and live the life of a wife, let alone a mother. Really, she stuck it out for a few years - just long enough for Paige to reach the age where she just couldn't undestand why mommy wasn't coming home tonight.
But she would be alright, really. Glyn turned out to take everything in fairly good stride. He had seen Meredith's attention waning for quite sometime, and though he was heartbroken and distraught upon her depature, he at least understood that he had a 3 year old daughter who needed his love and support. Grandpa (grandma having died a few years before Paige's birth) came into the picture fairly quickly, playing the roles of primary caregivers while Glyn was at work, showing the promisings of a terrific healer. It was just too bad that grandpa didn't exactly live in a wizarding community that was bountiful with children, which perhaps would
Still, Paige seemed to be doing just fine for herself, especially when her powers emerged just after her 7th birthday. They might've been present before, but they happened in such subtle ways: confiscated toys ending up back in her possession (she was blamed for sneaking into grandpa's room to get them back), an impossibly tangled yo-yo that dad was too busy to help with somehow becoming unstuck (she had just been being silly and not trying hard enough), and that favorite yellow shirt grandpa had thrown away because it was too small? Yeah, not when Paige had pulled it out of the trash. If anything, it was a size too big (grandpa was old, and perhaps just had been confused). However, after she turned seven, the signs were becoming to obvious to overlook, particularly during one of her little tantrums after being sentenced to time out. Grandpa came to check on her about 30 minutes later, only to find the majority of her furniture stuck to the ceiling of her room, Paige still crying under the covers of her bed, none the wiser to the fact she was currently upside down!
Needless to say, the owl that brought her acceptance letter to Hogwarts on her eleventh birthday was well expected, and it was then that a new adventure began.
