The syllabus for Potions was delivered to every student via owl. It stated with it the required texts that went along with each year grouping.
First, Second, and Third Years: Mondays, 6PM. Required Text:
One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore and Magical Drafts and Potions: Vol. 138- A Beginner's Guide. by Arsenius Jigger
Fourth Years and Fifth Years: Wednesdays, 6PM. Required Text: Magical Drafts and Potions: Vol. 139- Intermediate Studies by Arsenius Jigger. This class will prepare you for your OWLS.
Sixth and Seventh Years: Advanced NEWTS Classes. Requires an 'E' or better on OWLS. Fridays, 4PM. Required Texts: Advanced Potion-Making by Libatius Borage and Moste Potente Potions by Phineas Bourne.
Promptness is essential. If you are late, points will be deducted. If you are tardy/missing without due notice or proper excusing, you will receive an automatic 'T' for the class that day. If you take three 'T's in a row, you will automatically fail the class for that year. The only exemption is if you take Remedial Potions, to be scheduled with Professor Thanasis-Pontin. That is all.
