Once again the message board is basically dominated by a large and tacky parchment, adorned with velvet curtains and the comedy and tragedy masks. Ostentatious to say the least, chances are it's something posted by Professor Catherwood. If you guessed that, you guessed right. A headline screams:
"ATTENTION STUDENTS! I hope you're enjoying your year at Hogwarts, and if you weren't you surely will be, because, I bring you tidings of joy and wonderful news!
Our wonderful headmaster has given his reluctant" the word appears to be scribbled in between the margins, as if only added as an afterthought or not by the Charms professor at all, "permission to allow me, Professor Catherwood, to revive the age old practice of the THEATRE in our own Hogwarts school. The Hogwarts Pantomime Troupe will be composed of none other than you students, fine witches and wizards who wish to do more than just point magic sticks around.
Do not be dismayed though, by the misnomer of PANTOMIME, while the ancient British stytle of theatre is not off limits, it will not be our sole type of production and is simply a harkening back to the olden days of Hogwarts theatrical productions!
'So how do I join the Hogwarts Pantomime Troupe?' You are surely asking by now! The answer is simple, you audition! Our first production will be of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and I shall be directing it! If you wish to participate simple audition on the posted date, and I shall cast the show! And it is open to students of all years!
'But Professor Catherwood!' I hear you cry, "what if I don't make the show but still want to join the wonderful Hogwarts Pantomime Troupe?' well then fret not faithful student! All students are invited to join in as part of our production crew to make our plays come alive!
So come one, come all, the experience will be enriching and fun! And you'll get to work with me in an entire new field, everyone wins! And may the thespian inside all of us live long and prosper!
-Marius Catherwood"
Beneath the lengthy declaration is a long sign up list, headed by a line reading, "Auditions are the Evening of Friday the 26th!"
