Day 1- George and I had a very interesting adventure just in my room. How? Well, after I gave him a few crunchy crisps from a bag I had stashed for snacking, my half-kneazle, Mrs. Potts, decided that George was food! And tried to pounce on him! Of course, I sprang in to action and batted her away, telling her she was a bad girl for trying to eat him. But then my toad, another pet I love dearly, named Grub, croaked at George and scared him witless! I kept the little guy near me the whole evening, until he fell asleep on my head. He's still asleep there now. I don't want to disturb him, but I don't want to squish him either. I need to ponder this conundrum before bed.

Day 2- I gave George some more crisps for breakfast this morning, then when I returned from my own meal, I found he'd eaten all of my little rubber eraser things my mum had sent me. They're used to erase marks made by muggle pencils. Anyway, this made me realize that he really doesn't mind what you feed him, as long as its not an obvious poison. So, I've started giving him odd things, like lint, pencil shavings, bugs I find here and there. That sort of thing. He's really funny, too! And fearless. Except for Mrs. Potts and Grub, he's not afraid of anything that comes his way. A small mouse was crawling around and he made a sound like a loud hum, mixed with a growl, and scared the mouse off! George, the bravest Puff ever!

Day 3- Took George to classes today! He doesn't do too much. When I set him out on the floor, he likes to explore, sometimes hunt little bugs. When he's in my bag, he eats my lint and garbage. Still rather curious about things. I almost lost him once in the library, but I found him in the Geography section. Maybe he wanted to read? Hah!

Day 4- Another day of classes, another great day with George. I let him meet with Charlotte's puff, Bilbo. They like rubbing against one another and rolling around to play. They're too funny! When they got finished, she gave them both some bugs. George ate his, but I know he prefers the crisps. When we had some available down at dinner I snuck him a large serving up to the room.

Day 5- George nearly got lost again! I'd set my bag down after History to get something from my trunk, and when I went to look, he'd gotten out of his favorite pocket! I searched and searched, but only after an hour and a half did I find him. Poor fella was covered in little bits of dust. Took another half hour to pluck them off. I ended up missing dinner, but I've got sweets, so I'll survive.

Day 6- Went to potions today with George. He wasn't used for an experiment! Thank Merlin!
I've noticed that George is getting kinda chubby. A lot rounder than he had been at the beginning of everything. Maybe I'll cut the crisps out of his diet.

Day 7- Today's the seventh day since I've gotten George. I've learned a lot from him. That Puffs don't need chocolate, that they shouldn't be around cats (unless the cat can be trained not to eat them), and that even when you're that tiny, the world can still be fun and full of adventure. Even though its been such a short time, I really care about him. George is my little blue buddy. I think that's why the Weasleys made these guys. They're easy to love, and when you do fall for them, its a lasting love. Call me sentimental, but George here means a lot to me now. He's one of my best friends. And if that humming sound he makes whenever I come around with crisps or when I scritch him, or even when he's allowed to nest in my hair to sleep at night is any indication, then I'm sure my blue buddy loves me too.
