Character Description:
The sixteen-year old didn't want to be noticed, didn't want to draw attention. Just fade into the background, blend in with the crowd, be forgotten that she was even there. That wasn't too hard to do really, even with her bright red hair. So long as she just avoided the topic of her relatives. If anyone dug too deep or looked too far back, she'd be utterly mortified. After all, its hard enough growing up with so many expectations. Its worse when you have ancestors who were... special.
Personality/Beliefs Outline: She believes in the light, but she also believes people need to stand on their own strength and abilities rather than riding-coattails. She's not an idiot, but she can be headstrong. And rather smart-mouthed.
Background
Mother: Lily Luna Potter; 41; Housewife
Father: David Matthew Jones; 41; Clerk for Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes
Country of Origin: England
Heritage: Mixed Blood
History:
Her mother's side was of course from THAT Potter. There could be no denying it. Lily's brothers took after her father, grandfather and great-grandfather in hair and features. She had not been born with the infamous green eyes, so she was at best often confused for one of her numerous Weasley cousins. When Lily Luna married David Jones, it was thought that the daughter's line would likely disappear. But then she had Heather, whom many agreed resembled the nearly-sainted Lily Evans Potter. So of course, after giving Heather her Grandmother Jones's first name, she was given a hyphen of her aunt and her mother's names for the middle.
But Heather hated fame. She always tried to hide and blend in at gatherings, she always won games of hide-and-seek and tag, and she was clever with where she put treasures she didn't want anyone to find. She was the same with her family's history, once she was old enough to understand it. As the rumors of the Solari and danger concerning the grounds of Hogwarts grew, her family considered home-schooling, but opted instead, at her grandfather and great-aunt's suggestion, to instead have Heather tutored until she was old enough for her Hogwarts Letters to come in. Much to Heather's displeasure, given that tutors were more than eager to teach the child of a 'legend'.
When Heather turned 11, she received her letter and was sorted in to... Slytherin. Well, she wouldn't be the first, but she was still the odd-duck out among her cousins, who had all been Gryffindors in their day. Because of her need for secrets she remained a loner for her first years, being quiet, keeping to herself, and making no friends. At least, until a red-haired boy caught her curiosity.
