Character Description: She isn't the richest of girls, that can be seen with her robes of one size too big and her hair held back with a frayed pink headband, but otherwise, she isn't a bad looking girl. Her eyes are a deep brown shade, though their shape leave her looking eternally sleepy. Her hair, half curls, half waves, hide her when she is bowed and reading a novel. Like her name states, she is a tornado of emotions waiting to rip free, but she keeps them all hidden behind her calm demeanor.
Personality/Beliefs Outline: She was raised a Baptist, and to some degree, she still holds to these values. Otherwise, she believes in working hard, even if it means sleepless nights and maybe a little bit of a headache the next morning. She doens't complain, but she keeps a smile even when things get tough. While shy at first, she will be a good friend to people who get close enough. She's hard to approach, when people notice at all.
Background
Mother: Julie (nee) Grant- Muggle Librarian
Father: Alan Storm- Muggle postal carrier (Formerly accountant)
Siblings: Jaime Evan Storm, age 23- Muggle pizza-delivery driver.
Country of Origin: America (Born in London, England)
Heritage: Muggle-born
History:
Alan and Julie were the typical American couple. Not the foot-ball player and cheerleader, mind. Just regular joe-blow, metting ordinary jane-doe, and having a family. Julie was a librarian for her county's district library, and she enjoyed the quiet. Alan was an accountant with a great like of talking to people, but also not extremely sociable. Not long after the very brainy couple met and wedded and had their first child, the Storm family became Expys to London, sent by Alan's company when they opened a new branch. The Storms lived there for six years, and seemed content to live in the bustling, yet tradition filled city, with their new son and daughter, until a massive misfortune hit the company and Alan was laid off, prompting a quick move back to Mr. Storms' childhood home in Charlotte, North Carolina, where after two years of odd-jobs, Alan found a permanent position as a mail carrier. Alan liked to deliver the mail, more than he ever did crunching numbers, even believing in the oath that all Postmen make.
The Storm children were two opposite extremes. Their son, Jaime, was cared for greatly, and encouraged to do well in school... But from an early age he proved to be a slacker. Things turned for the better when Charlotte was born. Unlike her brother she was a bright child, eager to learn, quick to learn to speak and read, though she seemed the most adept in quiet places like her mother. When she entered school, it was even more obvious that while smart, she wasn't a social butterfly. Then of course, there were the weird things. Items changing unexpectedly, things flying off shelves, toys walking and moving on their own. And always when the girl was about. Very very weird.
Until she got her letters. When Charlotte (Lotte to her parents) recieved a letter and was visited by a representative of Salem Institute, all was made clear. She was a witch. Well, that was good news! But the Salem Institute weren't the only ones to come knocking. Due to being born in the UK, her name had also appeared on the list of pre-approved recipients for letters from the ancient Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After much discussion and debate, with help of a scholarship given to all their prospective Muggleborns with low incomes, and a tour of Salem, Charlotte attended Hogwarts. Why Hogwarts? Because while Salem was interesting, Charlotte, even at that young age, felt that she would gain more knowledge if she attended Hogwarts instead. Her parents agreed, and sent her over-seas to Scotland. It was hard to adjust at first, given her thick accent and her shyness in the beginning, but as she grew up, she became more familiar with the other students and with the curriculum. She was especially happy when the boy she had always quietly had a crush on finally noticed her. In the most dramatic fashion, too!
