The Ravenclaw common room is one of the airiest rooms at Hogwarts. It is a wide, circular room with a midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with blue and bronze silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. During the day, Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the school grounds, including the lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains. The room is furnished with tables, chairs, and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white marble.

((depending on the schedule, I'm just going to settle for him sitting in the common room.))
Elbinox sat quietly in the Ravenclaw Common Room, tying his shoe laces with great care before returning to his work that lay on the table in front of him. He looked into the History of Magic notes he had written before continuing to write. It was oddly quiet, and he was wary that someone might be planning a prank on him.
But since he was so frail, he didn't really like these sort of pranks that much. He looked around the common room again, the went back to writing.

Liam Fallon sat pensively on the edge of couch opposite the fire, staring at what appeared to be a sketch book laid across his lap. Frowning in concentration, he'd put quill to paper, only glancing up every once in awhile to stare hard at one of his Housemates' cats that had curled upon the hearth. In the wake of his mother's well-publicized disappearance, and his sister's increasingly erratic mood, the sixth year had taken to his sketch book more and more of late. It was one of the few things he could rely on to take his mind off of things.

Elbinox turned his head, looking again. The top of a head just barely appeared over a couch. Getting up, he slowly crept over to investigate. He noticed a boy, who seemed older than he was, deep in thought and what seemed to be a work-in-progress before him. "Nice drawing." The third year cleared his throat and looked at his hands, a little embarrassed to be creeping up on someone.

Deep in concentration over his drawing, the sixth year hadn't realized that he was not alone in the common room. Startled, he'd glance up sharply, initial annoyance quickly fading as he noted the other boy's interest. Even if it wasn't entirely genuine. "'Thanks", Liam mumbled, feeling slightly wrong-footed by the compliment. "Shortrime, right?" The third year's name came to him after a few minutes recollection.

Elbinox adjusted his glasses. "Correct." He said. "And you are?" He asked, keeping his tone low to refrain from sounding insulting. He looked at the drawing again. It seemed rather professional and his interests increased with glee. He knew he must look like a nerd with his glasses and being so frail, but he couldn't help but remind himself how he was doing his work and couldn't see anyone else doing it.

Regarding the younger boy for a moment, the sixteen year old would offer a slight nod before introducing himself. "Liam." He left his last name out, one that had become rather infamous over the past few months due to his mother's extra-marital affairs at the Ministry of Magic. 'Just' Liam was good enough, he felt, for an initial introduction. No need to bring his family into it.

"Well, nice to meet you, Liam." Elbinox held out his hand, waiting for Liam to shake hands with him. He wondered why the boy wouldn't give him his sir name, but quickly forgot, remembering that maybe he could make friends with someone, even though Liam was apparently not his age.
