Posted off in a corner of the school bulliten board is a simple, not ostentatious declaration. As one approaches it they'll see it is entirely handwritten in beautifully crafted Calligraphic letters.
"Greetings students! Welcome to another wonderful year at Hogwarts, I trust you all had exciting summers and are now eager to enter this school year with a willingness to learn! I am here to offer you the joy of of numbers in all of their wonderful forms. Arithmancy! The perfect marriage of Magic and Math, you'll go on a journey that can only be described as mystical. In my class you shall study Arithmancy in both Theoretical and Practical form, both simple and complex! My class will open up doors to you and reveal wonderful structures in spells and applications, many modern magical fields require Arithmancy as a studied class, and it is becoming a growing field in the modern wizarding world! What more reason to take it.
Beginning Arithmancy - Years 3-5 (Sunday Evenings) In begenning Arithmancy, we will give you a foundation in Arithmetic Principles, from Daedalus's Four Perfections to Shi Lang's Circular Theorem. Basic Arithmantic problems will be proposed and solved, and you will have the toolkit to do so. We will also discuss the foundations of Magical artwork and Arithmancy's importance, by the end of the class you will be able to create magical artwork you never thought possible.
Advanced Arithmancy - Years 6-7 (Friday Evenings) Advanced Arithmancy students will build upon the principles given to them in Beginning Arithmancy. We will learn complex arithmantic processes weaving together theorems and magic to provide magical answers. We will focus heavily on magical prediction and arithmancy's place in it. We will also focus on Arithmancy's applications on Magical Architecture and will build models and draft blueprints, using Arithmantic principles.
I encourage every student to sign up for Arithmancy as it is a fun yet challenging class, if you wish to attend, simply write your name below! I look forward to seeing you!
