Physical Description:
Kingsley is your typical little boy. He's small, with honey brown hair that seems to glimmer in the sunlight. Not your stereotypical pale skinned, daunting looking Slytherin boy is he? Mostly because he didn't expect to be in Slytherin. But that's another tale for another time. He's very lean, and lanky, with small, but sure hands that have long fingers and work at a fast pace- his mother calls them the perfect piano fingers... but he plays the cello. His facial features are still round and baby-ish, if not a bit hollow because of his thin face, and small, petite nose- he looks like your typical boy from a Christmas magazine, all that's missing is the snow and the red and white gear. He has big feet for a boy his age, and often stumbles over himself when he's nervous. His green eyes- hardly ever leave the floor, or a book that he is often found carrying in front of his face. His hair is cropped relatively short- it's easy to tuck behind his ears and his bangs tend to get in his eyes, but his face is usually bent over a book so much he doesn't really notice until he sits up straight.
Personality Outline:
Kingsley's personality does not suit his house at ALL! Despite all the rumors about Slytherin's being mean, backstabbing, close knit groups that want everyone around them to suffer- he's really not that bad. He's a sweet heart. Very patient, and kind. You could consider him a 'goody-two-shoes'. He conforms his behavior to the rules. If someone's cheating on a test, you can bet he'll be the one student to go up to the teacher afterwards, and tell them about it. If someone's bullying another person, he'll try to break it up himself- and if that doesn't work... find the nearest adult. He doesn't believe in doing wrong himself, and doesn't really like tricking people... although he can be tricked into doing some bad things. The poor naive boy is gullible, and tries so hard to be nice to everybody so his 'handicap' or blood status and muggle history don't throw people off and make them think he's completely useless in this new world. Which is why when he had been put under the sorting hat, Kingsley couldn't choose one specific house. He sort of wanted to be in Ravenclaw like his mother, but he couldn't bring himself to choose that house over the others. That's when the Sorting Hat started to whisper into his ear. "Great potential I see in you." It said. "Strong in mind, and heart. But not very brave... oh no, working from the sidelines is more your thing. You want friends- friends who can get you somewhere in this world and help others realize you're not just a nobody- I know just where to put you! SLYTHERIN!" If it wasn't for his nonchalant attitude about it, maybe he could have avoided the house all together, it's only now that he's realizing how badly people speak of them.

Heritage: Half-Blood
History:
Kingsley lived your average life- well... average for a muggle child anyways. Catherine had fled the magical world when she had fallen in love with a very down-to-earth muggle man who loved her despite her background of being a half-blood. She thought that if she had married and had children with a muggle, then her blood would be weakened, that any children she had would be nothing more than a squib. How surprised she was when the stories she used to tell her special little boy to help him sleep, would actually come true!
He started showing magical potential around the age of 10, when he would walk into the wrong situations at the wrong time- or rather, he would teleport into the situations and get stuck being the perpetrator. At first, Catherine thought it was just her son getting into mischief, and she paid no mind to it- until the letter from Hogwarts arrived, inviting him to attend the new school year. Telling your son a secret kept from him for his whole life is no easy task. One moment, he was laughing, saying his mom must have been pulling his leg. The next- he was dumbstruck, and even after that- he couldn't find the words to describe how amazing it was! All he knew about the magical world came from the stories his mom told him about a world he hadn't thought existed! Only to find out now that it actually had!
The very next day, the first year had been asking every question he could about the place called 'Hogwarts' and how they were going to get all of that fancy stuff on the list. He didn't know where to buy Transfiguration books! He didn't even know there WAS such a thing! That weekend, leaving the baby at home, Kingsley and his mom went to visit Diagon Alley and spend the whole day together, just him and her. Ever since he got those books, he's never been able to put them down, already having notes written for his classes on things he found interesting in his reading- and... just because he wanted to know what it felt like to use a quill pen and ink rather than a pencil or normal pen. Melanie- was a gift his mother got him for being a wizard after all, despite the fact that she left the magical world, Catherine was very pleased to have a reason to go back. Now Kingsley's dad will just have to be able to live with the knowledge of his wife being a witch.
