Gender: Female
Description: Her skin is mid-dark and slightly reddish from constant exposure to the sun. Her hair is black with touches of fox brown, tied back and forming partial dreadlocks. Occasionally she has feathers woven into her hair that was gifted by male centaurs. Because she is an archer, she wears a very practical leather jerkin over both breasts that is clearly not meant for decoration. Her skin is roughed by the sun and by being a wild beast in general. She is considerably more muscular than the average human woman, but leaner and more agile than her male counterparts. The horse part is dapple gray with deep silver and shimmery white flecks like the lights of a forest floor.
Personality: Her patience has been tried again and again and again. Her fuse has been drastically shortened by the actions of the Ministry of Magic. Among her kin she is impatient due to the political circumstances, but loyal to them. She is snappy, but able to relax and be friendly to her herdmates. It is important to remember that she is a wild animal, and as such she is strongly independent. She is greatly insulted by how humans react to her body and try to impose the same gender roles onto her as they have done onto themselves. The subject of "foals" that comes up often among humans is seen as crude and even perverse to her. One of the questions she receives the most from the Ministry is how many foals she has had and if she plans to have more. This is a grave insult to her for the following reasons: 1. She is suspicious that the humans are interested in the centaurs' population and control over it. 2. It is a highly rude and invasive question since it is considered a centaur/ide's own business. 3. Many of the humans have the wrong assumption about the centaurides', thinking their only role is to be mothers and undermine her skills as an archer, in which she takes immense pride.
Title: Archer, though is capable of some divination since astrology is so commonly taught among the centaurs.
History: I would like to leave some of this loose and open for change since the centaurides are not really addressed in the Harry Potter world. My characters like to reveal some of their own histories. But here is a base. Eleanora's herd consists of centaurides, which is half of the herd of centaurs in the Forbidden Forest. The genders in this region have traditionally segregated themselves, as they are as prideful of their gender as they are of their heritage. Sometimes there are minor gender wars, such as the centaurs bragging about their strength and the centaurides priding in their skills with intuitive divining. The segregation is not due to inability to get along, in fact the genders are at excellent peace with one another. The two herds have simply enjoyed their time apart, and gatherings are usually welcome and also enjoyed. Eleanora's herd lived deeper in the Forbidden Forest, though circumstances with the Ministry of Magic has drawn the herds closer together because of territory restrictions and a common enemy. Eleanora's herd has just recently returned to the centaur region and she seeks to do some of her own investigation.
