A straight-faced man, you might easily overlook him in a crowd. Lean of figure and topped with a blonde roman cut so devoid of color it's nearly grey and growing sparse on the crown of his head. Old before his time, the quiet Joran keeps mostly to himself, his real talents lie inside. It might be chalked up to his years as the head of the department of mysteries, but like all good secrets, they're locked away.

Quite handsome for his age, with a youthful face and touseled graying-brown hair, Thomas Baker is a profoundly complex man. Complex, perhaps, but typical for a Ravenclaw. Analytic, and intelligent, with a touch of eccentricity and good humor, yet thoroughly put off by using magic unless he has to. An enigma, for certain.

As a half-blood raised in a Muggle world, Thomas is a strong believer in the rights of Muggles, even going so far as to using only enough magic to get by. No errant uses of summoning or conjuring spells by this professor. The safety of the not only the animals in his care , but his students as well, is paramount; he will never put a student in danger if he can help it.

Like any good Ravenclaw, he is just a touch eccentric, amused by such things as naming his animals after literary figures, and dressing his beloved corgi in Ravenclaw-themed attire.

There he stands. He's just wonderful isn't he? The extremely handsome and debonair man grins widely with his perfect teeth. His firey red hair swept over his perfectly chiseled face. Yes, this... this was a man who knew a thing or two about fame. His from his crisp blue eyes to his tall stature. It was like he was crafted to be on a poster as an idol to little children everywhere.

Before you stands a tall and lanky man in his early forties. His hair is short, thick and severely unkempt and has clearly been dyed black recently and has faded to show peppermint undertones. Blue-grey eyes are kind but full of mischief, much like any die-hard Gryffindor and usually accompanied by a sloppy grin or smile. Usually for clothes the man wears some casual black pants, a scruffy white shirt with a black tie and a long black coat, nothing special! Just the usual.

As a teacher she's strict. She's willing to deduct points even from her own house provided that the student displayed a great feat of stupidity worthy of her disdain and point deduction. An extremely tall woman of Mediterranian blood mixed with ancient Celtic from Ireland, she is an imposing figure. Soft obsidian spirals held in place in a tight bun, her eyes an icy blue that is rather shocking with her olive complection. She doesn't tolerate nonesense, either whimsical or self-pitying. 'We've all got baggage, shut up and do your homework.'

All alone stands a woman, graceful in her air but stern in her delicate face. No matter of past could have done this it seems she simply was born to be the disciplinary type but in fact she does not feel the need to face that herself. She stands about 5'4, her long bright red hair running down her back like a river. Her eyes are a piercing green that seem to match her unwavering personality. One wouldn't think this woman had once been a Hufflepuff but she carries the traits far higher than would be seen. Loyalty is her highest trait out of any that she would ever carry but that cannot be seen till trust is given into her heart.

Albert has a very level-headed attitude, he is willing to listen to everyone who has an opinion, but isn't too comfortable exposing his own opinion unless he has conversed with the group for some time, meaning he'd rather hear everyone's opinion then let his out. As his Patronus is a tiger Albert is also a strong and independant individual. He does not warm up to people easily and can be quite unpleasant at times, however this does not reflect upon his role as a teacher at Hogwarts, he does not favourite anyone and takes a while to get to know all of his students. In his teaching methods he is blunt and straight to the point, he does not care who answers the questions just as long as he knows his students know something and understand what he is saying. If someone is in need or requires assistance Albert is the man to go to, always willing to co-operate and be involved with both students and teachers of Hogwarts.

Bart was born in London England in on October 9, 2004. Having come from a pureblood family that was every bit as eccentric as he is, Bart grew up with a passion for learning as much as he could about the magical arts. Both of his parents attended Hogwarts; however his mother was a Ravenclaw and his father was a Hufflepuff. When he was 11yrs old and attended his first year at Hogwarts the sorting hat placed him in Hufflepuff but almost chose Ravenclaw instead. Bart passed all of his O.W.L.S and N.E.W.T.S, his only weakness was Arithmancy, he just couldn't wrap his head around most of it. In his fifth year at Hogwarts Bart was made a prefect and took his duties very seriously. After graduating with high honors Bart spent several years traveling around the country and various other places trying to learn about other things, such as the study of dragons and different magical cultures around the world. When he finally returned home 5 years later he decided to go to try his hand at becoming a Professor at Hogwarts.

Defense Against the Dark Arts

A stocky bloke with a stomping swagger, there's little to pick up from Eastman that you don't see right off. Not to say he's shallow or simple, but he's the sort of person everyone knows, fierce but friendly. His affinity for firewhiskey is well-known and amongst his colleagues he's recognized as a devoted translator of ancient texts. More privately, he's got a fancy for a certain buxom waitress and will spend his weekends flirting and wooing to the best of his ability.

Despite a strong moral upbringing, Eastman is more flexible with his beliefs and generally an accepting man. Like anyone else, he has the occassional Hot Button issue that will send him into a frenzied argument, but he's always been more apt to loving, even when that loving is a violent and bloody fight. Without a doubt, he's a masculine man and relatively devoted to his work. Pouring over texts for a few hours usually earns him the rest of the night off to spend the company of others out in Hogsmeade. When it comes to students and his classes, he's an affable but serious professor who has little patience with disrespectful snots and takes a bit of pleasure in punishing.

A tall thin man and come to think of it quite lanky. A brown outfit with white pinstripes was worn that appeared to be patched up frequently with a coat over the top. Messy maroon hair often fell over his glasses which were possibly the most intact item he wore. It wasn't as if he wasn't respectable of course, he often held a stance of pride or lack of worry at least... Because seemed to completely happy with himself due to an awkward smile on his face.

Jovial, Kind and Friendly but a bit odd, is what a normal wizard would consider him. Insecurities are suppressed by an air of enthusiasm which only goes serious in discussions of important things... Such as exams.

Nikolos is a grumpy old man. He wasn't always grumpy, but after losing his ability to play Quidditch at a young age, losing his wife, and his kids leaving to do their own thing, he has a lot to be grumpy for. He generally likes to spend his time being alone outside with his donkey, Dino. If he was forced to socialize, Nikolos would rather spend it with the staff at Hogwarts or other adults than the children. When someone calls him "stubborn as a mule", it's really what defines him. He rarely changes his ways and his old age keeps him quite "country". He can be somewhat of a misogynist due to his upbringing (his mother, wife, and daughter ending up being housewives), but it would only show when he is under stress.

Status - blood, house, or fame - doesn't even bother him. Nikolos will always judge students at first impression. He respects all of the Quidditch players on the field, but off the field, he's the same grumpy old man. Granted he doesn't like being away from home, but he likes being around flying and Quidditch.

Nikolos holds a heavy punch with his wooden cane. One nasty remark or misdirection could send a student crying their way to the hospital wing. He uses his cane more than his wand in most cases when punishing students. He is always seen smoking his pipe outside, but never inside for the children's safety (not his words).

Character Description: Who could resist those dimples? Set in the lightly freckled cheeks they would appear with each hint of a smile. Her chestnut brown hair hung down around in straight strands that moved with her. A spring in each step it wasn't uncommon to see her stumble at any random moment, only to recover and flounce away unaffected.

Deirdre Finnin is a sweetie of sweeties. Her heart is generally that of gold, and she has a naturally warm aura. Just about everyone is given the benefit of the doubt until they ruin that opportunity, and she is overall cheery and flamboyant. Beneath the surface Deirdre is fiercely loyal, and fiercely devoted to her ambitions and beliefs. Alert and strong she takes pride in her origins and her accomplishments.

Wallace Marshall's face is lined, partially giving away his age. Still, the man holds himself upright and walks with vigor, as if determined to prove that he isn't old yet. A light scent of cologne wafts off him. His light gray robes cover his neat shirt and pants, both well-creased but slightly wrinkled, and his bare ankles peek over his loafers. A wand is tucked away into a pocket in Wallace's robes, ready to be drawn at any moment.

Well-travelled is Wallace Marshall packed into one term. Other than the knowledge he obtained from his cursebreaking adventures, Wallace gained some logic skill from breaking curses. His scientific knowledge is sparse (equivalent to a high school senior), but significantly more than most wizards. Marshall usually puts his life before others, unless he truly believes they deserve to be saved or they can't defend themselves.

Her black hair comes down to shoulder length, a curtain around the nape of her neck, and framing the emerald green eyes, small cute nose, and the lightish pink lips. Her body was lithe, small framed, normally dressed in casual suits of black, with white dress shirts underneath. Her black robes hang over her clothes.

A slight bit "techno witch", the woman cares alot for her fellow wizards and witches, that kindness having someway to seep out into others. She loves it when things are organizing, hating when things aren’t; focusing on making things the way they should be, so that stuff can be found easily. As her wand had picked her, she loves animals, finding the most exotic her favorites.

Nurse Seaver is an older, hefty, and austere witch, with a permanent scowl. Her greying brown hair, is styled into a tight bun that pulls slightly on the edges of her eyes and face. The woman is clad in a modified Healer's outfit, which is white and blue instead of lime green. Strapped to her waist is a Muggle first aid kit and her blackthorn wand; not a combination often seen in the wizarding world.

As a healer, she likes to care for people, but dislikes how easily living things get injured which gives her a rather cold and strict outer shell. It's difficult to unsettle her which allows her to deal with hysterical students, unless she becomes hysterical herself. Once that happens, Nurse Seaver will most likely start crying and become difficult to understand as she treats her patients. Often uses her wand as a rod to beat misbehaving and uncooperative people if she's unsettled enough.

With darling looks and a charming personality, it was as though Nessa had stepped right out of a storybook. She was, in a sense, the ideal princess in both mannerisms and looks. Auburn hair was curled and abundant, though often twisted up and out of the way as she worked. Eyes were blue, and skin was fair and freckled, a true stereotype to her Irish heritage. Smiles excessive and infectious when this woman was around, she holds a true passion for all things living. Kind-hearted, with an exuberant personality like sunshine, the young woman was a perfect specimen to don the red robes, and matronly white apron.

Although brought up by her pure-blood father it was never even mentioned that half-bloods or muggleborns were at all less equal than they were. She believes all creatures are equal, even the ones that don't talk but she cant help but be angry at the muggles for how they've eaten away the nature of the planet and sadly pushed both animals and wizards into smaller areas, but she wouldn't wish them gone.

Shes a body and face most suited to evening dress and extravagant nights out, at least you can tell she'd look elegant with a little bit of make up and some more attention to her hair. Though most of the time she could be seen wearing dark green, practical dungarees with dried on or wet patches of mud on them over a white, plaid shirt and heavy duty black boots with steel toe-caps. Her hair is a pretty blonde with natural darker brown strands and undertones hanging stylishly to her shoulders, unless of course it was messy with twigs in it! but what really gave the woman her sparkle was her exceptionally deep eyes. A dark blue outer ring leads into an earthy green that becomes a very fine lick of light earthy brown towards the pupil, perfectly natural but so beautiful at the same time. Other than that she seems to have a motherly and very kindred aura about her and despite being well spoken her voice carrying a fitting softness with friendly crackle to it.

As your eyes meet his, Jon Godfried smiles at you. Not tall, not short, but handsome nonetheless with short cropped brown hair. He gestures at you with a boisterous wave and approaches you, greeting you with a vigorous handshake. He smiles, but his deep grey eyes don't totally reflect his outgoing personality.

Jon Godfried is an obnoxiously outgoing human being. He's peppy, enthusiastic, and passionate about nearly everything. He's talkative and boisterous, and his good temper often has a contagious effect on those around him. However when alone, or when he thinks no one is looking, he is far quieter and introspective, brooding on something he doesn't deem appropriate to share with anyone in his company, but as soon as he notices someone, he's back to his usual self.
