Background
Mother: Sophia Ovechkina, 46, housewife
Father: Seraphim Ovechkin, 48, Auror
Siblings: Conan Ovechkin, 23, Magical Law Enforcement Patrol
Country of Origin: Russia
Heritage: pureblood
History:
Vergilia was born in Moscow, Russia to Seraphim Ovechkin and Sophia Ovechkina. At the age of seven she moved with her parents and younger brother, Conan, to London. Vergilia considers her father to be one of the brightest wizards of his time having exceptionally high marks on all of his subjects. This has led her to feel insufficient because she could not live up to his greatness. Her father was a former Hit Wizard who moved up the ranks to Auror. He met Vergilia's mother who was a Mediwitch at the time working in a local hospital. Sophia Ovechkina became a housewife after marrying Seraphim and having Vergilia. Sadly, Vergilia did not posses the talent in Defense Against the Dark Arts as her father did. Despite this, her father was rather glad because he did not want her to dwell into dangerous professions. Vergilia's younger brother did take after their father. Conan is currently an employee of the Magical Law Enforcement Patrol much to their mother's dislike. Since the family became immigrants, the Ovechkins tend to avoid lime light. The parents live in a decently moderate flat in London for Seraphim to be close to work. Conan has taken residence in the city as well, merely a few blocks away from his parents.
Vergilia's home is located in the outskirts of London. She dwells in a small farm house with a generous greenhouse. Nearby her windows she grows a garden solely for flowers while all of her herbs are behind the house. Vergilia continued Divination as hobby after schooling. She has a room on the west-most side of her home dedicated to this hobby that she calls "The Wanderworks". The inside of the room is very dimply lit and has a distinct scent of sweet peas. There is a large round table located in the heart of the room with an ornate bowl that she uses for Tessomancy with the leaves she grows in her garden. Near the window is a couch next to the telescope that she uses to gaze at the planetary locations for her astrology recordings. Her parents have expressed their dislike towards Divination, claiming it was one of the most useless studies she could have pursued. However, Vergilia continued to study something that she was excited for while still in school. She has come to terms to leave Divination as a hobby and nothing more.
Gaining her parent's approval in academics has always been Vergilia's biggest goal growing up. She realized at a young age that she was not exceptionally gifted in various fields as her father was. Vergilia considers herself lacking in some subject areas. She claims that she does not have the knowledge to excel like her peers, but she has an extraordinary drive to meticulously proceed. This talent has also become her flaw. Vergilia is unable to see that her determination to succeed in everything academic-wise has weighed heavily on her weak health. She understands that no one is perfect at everything, yet refuses to acknowledge that in herself. As a result, during her studies at Hogwarts she had to visit the hospital wing on many occasions including extreme fatigue, excruciating migraine pain, and an instance when a fellow student carried her in after she passed out on the library desk from studying too much for her N.E.W.T.s. Vergilia has a serious case of stubbornness. Combined with her will to succeed, Vergilia is able to plough through very difficult tasks, all at a cost of her well-being. She aimed to pass her N.E.W.T.s with acceptable scores that would allow her to pursue a career as a Healer. Her scores merely reflect her diligence rather than pure talent. However, in practical applications, Vergilia lacks the capabilities to be thriving in subjects outside of Alchemy (and of related fields). Once she was accepted to St. Mungo's as an aide, Vergilia had run into another wall. Unfortunately, she had haemophobia (fear of blood) and could not fully carry out her tasks outside of laboratories that required her to tend to patients directly.
After long consideration, Vergilia decided that it would be best for her to change her life goals to something more suitable for her health. Since she continued her own research in medical Herbology, supplementing it with healing Potions, Vergilia decided to look to teaching. She came to the conclusion that she would rather raise accomplished wizards and witches who would have the opportunity to become everything she couldn't rather than demolish the rest of her extremely weak health. At first Vergilia was very bitter. She envied those with good health, having born with such privileges. As time passed, Vergilia softened up and let go of her envy in order to be a proper mentor to future pupils. Vergilia hold academics highly. She expects a great deal of work from her students. However, she also realizes that students must have passion for her subject. For the students who do not have that drive, Vergila is more than willing to help out those who truly wish to pass with agreeable results and is favourable to those who respect her study. Considering she was not talented in the wand-based studies, she is more understanding towards students who do not have the aptitude for Alchemy. Vergilia does not typically show favouritism among her students, yet there have been instances where she was less kind to her own House. This is because of her pride in Slytherin. Vergilia believes that she should challenge her House students a bit harder because she wants to see them succeed exceptionally. Some may see this as favouritism towards her students for giving them the extra attention; the students themselves most of the time dislike her method of teaching in this case. Vergilia follows by the quote "Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness" to some extremes. If anything, her determination underlines her radical ideas of academic success.

LESSON PLAN
I am currently working on the lesson plans if this get's approved. Since Alchemy is a course offered only to sixth and seventh years, I want to cover the following (generalization):

- Theory of Magnum Opus
- Theory of Humoralism
- Theory of Four Temperaments
- Spiritual / Philosophical approach to alchemy
- Dwelling into modern "sciences" of metallurgy and basic chemistry
- Incorporating other studies to draw from student's knowledge (e.g.: Potions - Elixir of Life; Astronomy - Macrocosm and Microcosm)
