Astronomy Professor-
Basics
Name: Albert-Kenny Horton.
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Play-by: Chace Crawford
Desired Position/Job: Astronomy Professor
Race: English/British
Weight/Height: Height, 6'4", Weight, 11 1/2 stone

Patronus: Tiger - Creator, destroyer, strength, ferocity, power, anger, power of Earth.
The tiger is a very strong, independent patronus. They have a fierce personality to them that they show openly, and have no problem doing it. However, there is more to them than just an impression, they have parts of their past that are a bit dark, and that has caused them to grow a bit cynical. They don’t like to show their feelings to others, as they like to maintain the impression for themselves and for others that they are unbreakable. They are not fast to warm up to anyone, but once they do they will protect you with all that they have.
Former Hogwarts House: Slytherin
Personality:
Albert has a very level-headed attitude, he is willing to listen to everyone who has an opinion, but isn't too comfortable exposing his own opinion unless he has conversed with the group for some time, meaning he'd rather hear everyone's opinion then let his out. As his Patronus is a tiger Albert is also a strong and independant individual. He does not warm up to people easily and can be quite unpleasant at times, however this does not reflect upon his role as a teacher at Hogwarts, he does not favourite anyone and takes a while to get to know all of his students. In his teaching methods he is blunt and straight to the point, he does not care who answers the questions just as long as he knows his students know something and understand what he is saying. If someone is in need or requires assistance Albert is the man to go to, always willing to co-operate and be involved with both students and teachers of Hogwarts.
Albert has a well-controlled temper, it should be noted that this control has proved very useful throughout his life, after loosing amany studies on certain stars and/or planets due to equiptment failure. or unable to complete certain objectives.

Character Description: A very tall handsome young towers over you, a quick side-smile showed he was friendly, always willing to lend a hand this one was! Dirty-blonde hair was always slicked back, with a neat five o'clock shadow, this man kept himself clean and tidy. When looking at this gentleman one can't help but look into friendly clear blue eyes, warm-hearted and quite the charmer, Albert-Kenny Norton almost always had a smile on his face. Physically fit with a heart of gold, how much more perfect could he be? Yet he was far from perfect.
Personality Outline: Albert had a heart of gold. This man had never committed a crime in his life, but was true to being a loyal, cunning and had great leadership qualities. He had intelligence on many scales and was always willing to open up and discuss new means. Albert was not a traditionalist, eventhough he is from pure-blood heritage and his family tried to force it upon him, Albert appreciates a person for their talent and skill, not their background or blood. As much as Albert is almost 'perfect' he does have his turns when he feels not-so-perfect, an example being if a two students from different houses start bickering, or acting unfriendly towards eachother he will always say the same thing;
"Although we were sorted into different houses, we all came from the same family, if you traced each one of your ancestors back into the first wizarding families I can assure you that your bloods are linked somehow. We are family, do not take competition over this."
He gets along with everyone he meets, and if someone were to dislike him he'd simply talk to them about it, as he prefers to be either friendly or civil with everyone. He DOES NOT favour houses or students.

He was brought up in a stable and firm family environment, he was told straight from birth that he was 'special' and showed early signs of magical abilites. His parents were often away in their jobs to earn money for the family, and Albert was often left with nannies. Two years later his parents concieved his younger brother Lee, inwhich Albert had a very strong relationship. After Lee was two years old, and Albert four, their mother died of unknown causes, it broke their boys' hearts as their mother had alway shown more emotional and physical care than their father, but they still maintained a strong relationship with their father anyhow.
At the age of eleven his Hogwarts letter came, and soon enough he was sorted into Slytherin, as have most of his family. At this time he his father was away, so he had no way of contacting him, and instead left a note at home and told the nanny to let him know. Soon after being sorted into Slytherin he recieved mail from an owl, which was soon to be his very own, named Wilbert, it was from his father, congratulating him and apologising for not being around, along with it came a golden ring, an inheritance Albert's father had gotten instead of money, it was valuble and worth quite a few galleons. The ring had a diamond on it, and inside the diamond was the letter 'H' inside the diamond. Albert has worn this ever since he got it, and recieved regular owls from his father. Two years later his younger brother joined Hogwarts, and he too was put into Slytherin. Albert kept a close eye on his younger brother and was always willing to give him anything he needed.
Albert had always been on good terms with his brother, and keeps in contact with him to this very day. Every Christmas, Halloween, Birthday and Easter he goes to visit his younger brother, who, has his own family. Albert is only known to have his brother as his closest friend, although he does develop relationships with other people Albert does not go through enough trouble to stay around with them, he moves allot and is only in constant contact with his brother, considers him best friend.
Albert excelled at astronomy in Hogwarts, and got so fascinated he decided to make it his career to become an astronomer. This became his life ambition, and in return he wished to return to Hogwarts inwhich was the start of his life-long love of astronomy.

Required Items:
-A Wizarding Guide to Astrology
-A Wizarding Guide to the Sky: Atlases
-Compass
-Astroglobe
-Telescope
-Notepad
Teaching Example: (First Years) Albert stroded up the aisle of the astronomy tower's classroom, his wand held in his right hand, flicked back and forth, stutters rolled down, leaving the classroom completely dark. His wand flicked to the project and it beamed across the front of the classroom, "Welcome Students. I am Professor Horton. You will address me as Professor, or Sir." He now stood at the front of the classroom, next to the projected black screen. His wand hand swished and upon the screen stars and galaxies appeared. "You are here today, because this is astronomy. The study of the universe, constellations, stars, planets and much more. Our first lesson will be explaining what the galaxy is and how it can effect us."
Throughout the lesson Albert would stroll between the aisle, staring down at the students as his cool-gaze made sure that they were paying attention, every now and then if he saw a student put their head down he'd drop a book on their desk to make sure they weren't sleeping. He made sure that all his students paid attention to him, occasionally conjuring stars and planets to float about the room with his wand.
After every lesson Albert would allow his students to stargaze and make notes, whether or not they did at the end of the year he would ask them to read over there for their O.W.L's. At the sixth and seventh school year to those students who proceeded to learn Astronomy Albert would often allow one-on-one help with students, and ask to see their notes (if any) from previous years to either correct or praise them for their work.
