Character Description:
All alone stands a woman, graceful in her air but stern in her delicate face. No matter of past could have done this it seems she simply was born to be the disciplinary type but in fact she does not feel the need to face that herself. She stands about 5'4, her long bright red hair running down her back like a river. Her eyes are a piercing green that seem to match her unwavering personality. One wouldn't think this woman had once been a Hufflepuff but she carries the traits far higher than would be seen. Loyalty is her highest trait out of any that she would ever carry but that cannot be seen till trust is given into her heart.
Personality Outline:
She isn't really the social butterfly since her sarcasm takes a great deal of suppressing, but she can entice a conversation or two. The outward appearance would suggest she is not open to others but in fact she would very much enjoy a casual talk especially on romance but that is not always befitting of her since she has such a rough time with it. Arianna can be cruel and prone to arguing but she is nothing if open, only if one comes to her first though. In all honesty she is nothing but a laugher if you can get her going.

Elizabeth (Avalona) Donstorfe, 54, Auror
Father:
Adrik Donstorfe, 59, Factory worker
Siblings:
Only child
Country of Origin:
Born: Dublin, Ireland
During Her Years at Hogwarts: Belmullet, Ireland
Now: Lorrha, Ireland
Heritage:
Half blood
History:
Born in Dublin, Ireland to the witch Elizabeth Donstorfe and the muggle Adrik Danstorfe. Her life started there but it seldom could stay since her father kept moving them along with his work. She has lived in big cities, even in London, in the far countryside, and even in motels when nothing else would do. During her years at Hogwarts they settled in Belmullet, Ireland for Arianna's sake.
Since they had moved around so much Arianna was a bit of a introvert, she struggled making and keeping friends at Hogwarts. She always felt as if people thought she was simply weird and whenever a boy would flirt with her she just assumed they were being put up to it. It was her own fault that she was put off by others, she knew this very well that when someone tried commenting on her she turned them away, not letting herself trust a soul. Only starting in her fourth year did she step up and let go of some of that intense distrust. Through the rest of her years she made all of three very good friends.
Maybe her life hasn't been that amazing or bad but she prides herself on pushing through it as normal as possible. Arianna prides herself in normalcy, she enjoys the status quo and a quiet life. The only time normalcy takes a back seat is in her many books. She becomes a whole other woman that nobody can understand, according to her, when she jumps into those pages and swims through somebody else's words and hopes. That has always been her life, hiding behind green eyes trying to escape from a world she is still afraid of.

In Class Work & Homework
There will a total three tests, nine quizzes, seven short pop quizes, and three essays. The first essay will be writing, to the best of the student's ability, using half ruins and half English to describe one short story of choice. Second will be an essay on Hieroglyphs and thirdly the essay included in the final test, on whatever the student likes as long as it pertains to the study of ruins.
Homework is only that students are expected to always be caught up, even if the class has not touched on a subject yet. Though the professor has the authority to give whatever homework but it will not be done without understanding.
Expectations
No student should be late for class, five points will be taken from their house each time. Work is to be delivered on time and though it is not required it seems self explanatory to have quill, ink, and parchment.
Example
Arianna waited silently, pretending to delve into papers as students shuffled in. As each took their seat murmurs crawled to the top of the ceiling and stuck there in the air. Her hands pushed off the desk and she stood silently and gracefully before the younger faces. Green eyes shot around the room at each student, piercing through their conversations. A light hand came down on the chestnut desk harder than it would appear to. Attention was demanded at this and was expected to be given. She looked about and began to speak, no humor rising from her, "This is the Study of Ancient Runes, if you are not meant to be here then I suggest you arrive at your needed class." Her eyes shot around again to see if any rose and then continued on as she stepped behind her desk. Arianna rose her wand and with it many papers packed together, as she sent them out each student was sure to get a packet, "This is the syllabus and what I expect from you here." As she continued on she would look onto them on and off, "My expectations in all of you is quite simple, have your work finished on time, if you need help actually ask, be attentive during class, and do not be late. Tardiness is not permitted here and for every time you are late five points will be taken from your house. This is an elective course and with that I expect you to be here since you chose it. You are expected to keep up to date with all information even when we have not covered it in class for a while. With this you are not required to have a quill, ink, or parchment, I am giving you the freedom to choose this one thing, but I do expect you to use common sense and use such materials to keep up." Her eyes crossed them all and inquired silently of them as she walked back to her desk and sat down. As she did so she opened a wide gray book, ruinic script branded on the top and her eyes went over the first pages that she had opened up to, "I hope you all brought your books, we start today."
