The snake is an intoxicating animal, indulgent in their mannerisms and a drug to others. They are very personable, getting others to grow fond of them quickly. They are graceful in their expression, but very fiery as well. They make an impression fast, and they get their point across, whatever it may be. They tend to attempt hiding their feelings, seeing them as weakness, though they are incredibly emotional. This causes them to be venomous when angry, lashing out at others.

Physical Description: This 17-year-old girl has round blue-green eyes, a combination of sapphires and emeralds. She has a sort of peaches and cream complexion, and blonde hair which she prefers either slicked back into a ponytail or down. She is quite tall for a girl and slender, with a modish build. You will most likely find her in a pack, usually hanging out with other Slytherins, as this is how she functions best and this is her comfort zone in which she sticks in. She will only venture out if she knows it will satisfy her. She always wears her precious ring, which she treasures dearly and never loses or keeps out of sight. (Irl she might have even earned the nickname Smeagol/Gollum "my precious..."-Lord of the Rings reference
)Personality Outline: She is hungry in her ambition, self-confident, and driven. She does not let emotions and obligations get in her, because once she sets goals, she fully intends to go for them, no matter what is in her path. She will hold her ground and refuse to be nothing in the world.
She doesn't need daily reassurance to feel validated as a person or valued as a friend. She doesn't need a bunch of people to keep her standing. She has a small group of people she trusts, people like her, people in her house. It is the closest house, they are like brothers and sisters. However, if she were to lose any, it doesn't make her question herself or wallow in self pity, it makes her question THEM, like "who the are you to act that way to me, you vile filthy animal". She doesn't lose friends, THEY lose HER. She's not going to cry about her loss. She wouldn't be losing a true friend anyway.
She may not always truly mean to hurt people when she does, she is just incredibly blunt and straightforward, a trait that can be seen as shocking to others. She may be insecure sometimes, but will NEVER admit it, feeling the need to display superiority and receive attention, causing her to be sort of bullying/abrasive in expressing her opinions. She could rip you to shreds and do her nails at the same time.

History: Potentia was raised in a pureblood family with a wealthy financial status. You could say the Peckish vault at Gringott's would be quite large and full. She received her letter when she was 11 and has been a Hogwarts student ever since. She has two younger brothers, one which is a 4th year and one that will be a 1st year in about two years.
She grew up always hearing that Muggleborns, Muggles, and Gryffindors were inferior, so these opinions are drilled into her brain, but she doesn't usually go out of her way to make enemies with them without good reason.
Her mother, Astusia's maiden name is Thicknesse, her mother's father was a Death Eater who died in the Battle of Hogwarts. Astusia's mother fought alongside her husband and was killed as well. Potentia however, did not figure this out until much later.
Her parents were quite the workaholics, even though a massive amount of their wealth was inherited, both her parents continued to work and could not always be around for Potentia. However, they did what they could to spend time with her and make sure she was given as good an up-raising as they could. She had many house-elves take care of her and teach her before she went off to Hogwarts.
She received a gorgeous Emerald and silver snake ring with pink Sapphire eyes as a gift for getting into Slytherin, a family tradition, which she wears 24/7 without fail.
Potentia would be described by most other students and teachers as a dangerously talented young witch, as she was taught all her life, even before being enrolled into Hogwarts a good bit of spells and even received her own broomstick and learned how to fly.
Her name, as well as the names of everyone else in her family, means "Power". Her last name, Peckish, means "Hungry", therefore her full name is translated as "Power Hungry", just like a true Slytherin.
Potentia's mission is to do what it is she does best, make her name known, and show pride in where it is she came from.
