Character Description:
A man stood ahead, standing at a fairly average height. He was slim though, which made him seem taller than he was. A tight tee shirt was worn, plain blue with a lack of pattern on it accompanied with tight navy blue jeans, and a pair of black converse. Over it he wore a plain white lab coat that had an assortment of pins he had collected over the years. His young face held a perpetually bored and disinterested expression, but his deep blue eyes told of hidden intelligence. Black hair was short and messed, cursed to have bed head forever!
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
When most people think of Marcus, the first thing that comes to mind is the word 'sarcasm'; for that is very true about him. He is snarky and sarcastic to both the people he likes and the people he doesn't. Usually he's rather rude to people, but manages to contain that rudeness when presented a superior. Contrary to popular belief, he does care about other people unless they give him a reason not to, and can be very stubborn and protective about their well-being. Being a logical person, he often looks at situations realistically, but has the occasional incident where he will do something on a whim and pray to whatever gods are out there that it works.
Background
Mother: Bones Harper, 57, Retired; previously a nurse at a muggle hospital
Father: Owen McCoy, 56, Retired; previously a doctor at the same muggle hospital as his mother
Siblings: Leonard Harper, 41, runs an apothecary in Diagon Alley
Country of Origin: Wales, but went to school in America
Heritage: Muggle born
History: He lived in a tiny apartment in Cardiff, Wales with his mother and father; that was all they could afford. He excelled in school, and sports, and had plenty of friends. On the outside he seemed perfectly content, and many people liked him. But at home he had many problems with his mother that shaped him to be what he is today. She generally neglected him so he learned to fend for himself early on. On his sixteenth birthday, she packed his bags for him and threw him out; they haven't spoken since.
He kept in contact with his brother though, and they stuck together for most of their lives, only trusting each other. Living in America, he spent long summers in a muggle school for doctors, and eventually graduated after a long time. He can treat injuries both with and without magic, and will often switch between the two. Other wizards often view this with scorn, but he doesn’t like to take other people’s crap and makes decisions for himself. He managed to get a job at Hogwarts, and now lives at the castle. There is a divided opinion about him.
