Character Description:
(You see Julianne Gair.)
> With a yearning to know just about everything, (URL: dft.ba/-1aZB) Julianne is one of the newer children to enroll at (URL: dft.ba/-1aZC) Hogwarts. Standing at 4'5", you would more likely find her hunched over a book than off on social events. Chestnut-hued hair falls around her face, framing pale skin and blue eyes that nearly always bear dark circles from spending all-nighters reading. Perhaps she would've been pretty had she made effort in her appearance, but her hair is rarely combed and her skin dotted with acne. She simply doesn't see the need to impress others with her appearance, more often than not does she take up the simple black cloak and blue-and-bronze colors of her house; a proud Ravenclaw.
Personality Outline:
Overall, Julie is not the nicest of girls. Instead of greeting you with a smile and a how-are-you, she would tell you to get out of her light because she was trying to read. Anti-social and far more concerned with her books than with people, she's a smart-aleck in the truest sense, always having to put in her own two cents on nearly every subject. She doesn't go out of her way to insult people, however, and she does have manners. Yet those manners break very easily if you happen to fault in the slightest of ways. She isn't very brave, either, and would probably cower under the gaze of anyone who happened to be bigger than her.
Background
Mother: Nessa Gair, 40, was a doctor in the American military. Now deceased.
Father: Muggle parent. Adam Gair, 37, architect.
Siblings: Only child.
Country of Origin: Newport, Oregon; later moved to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Heritage: Halfblood.
History:
Born to Nessa and Adam Gair in Newport, Oregon, Julianne had a fairly normal childhood. She attended Muggle school and achieved very good grades yet not many friends. It was no matter to her, books filled the spaces where friends should've been better than another child ever could. Her mother had been a medic in the war, yet her days of that were over; she had taken up work at the local hospital and had put such things behind her. So they thought. Nessa Gair was called back in, and with no choice left Adam and Julie behind when her daughter was 8. When she didn't make it back, Julie withdrew into herself and her books further. A year later, her father relocated them to his hometown of Edinburgh, thinking a fresh start would be good for them. Perhaps something could be said for her anti-social-ness' roots in this, the fact that what the few friends she had had been taken from her, yet she hadn't made any attempt at regaining contact with them. She has lived with her father up until now, her years at Hogwarts surely to be the greatest adventure of her life.
