Character Description:
Bewitched; Hogwarts onyx robe greeted matching pants and shoes as he sat 'pon the ledge of a window. Bearing a pure gold badge revealing his Hufflepuff status, he sat with his face in a Quidditch book. Burnt orange locks shrouded his bright hazel eyes as they grazed over every word, making sure he remembered every bit of Quidditch a fan like him could. Cream colored skin glinted in the sun and because of his height of 5'1", he had been able to fit nicely into the small space; a quiet place to get away from the ruckus.
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
Reese can be seen usually outside minding his own business. Since he was brought up around a church, he doesn't judge anyone, friendly to all if need be (a few stutters, and he can actually have a conversation with someone). He isn't the social type, but when he is around people he's comfortable with, he won't be as quiet. The kid loves to explore "creepy" places at night, thinking seeing a ghost is a better way to find out about a place than in a book. He can be pretty optimistic - a people pleaser. During school, he's not very book-smart, but he studies hard to get an average grade.
Due to his mother's upbringing, Reese was brought into the church the day he was born. He learned a lot, but never really understood the whole concept of God. He kept to himself, but he followed the teachings despite not understanding most of it. He's all about free love, believing true love doesn't need to be between a man or a woman only and it can even be polygamous. Despite his father not being there much for his first nine years of living, Reese never showed any hatred for him, but doesn't share a very close bond compared to most fathers and sons. By the time he found out he was going to Hogwarts, Reese was interested in learning about the wizard society. Dark arts aren't his forte, but he doesn't mind learning a thing or two about it.
Background
Mother:
Rachel White Hammel, 29, church member (deceased)
Father:
Ian Hammel, 31, banker
Siblings:
None
Country of Origin:
Scotland
Heritage:
Halfblood
History:
Born in a local hospital in Scotland, it relieved Reese's parents that he didn't end up like the last two miscarriages. Ian worked as a salesman and Rachel worked with a church. For most of his childhood, his mother took care of him and took him to the church. He made friends with the other kids. He didn't have a real relationship with his father even as a tyke. The father went to work, changed a diaper, and then straight to bed. Ian never thought his son could be a wizard, Reese didn't leave any evidence of it, and it gave him a good reason to not tell his wife. As Reese was rearing for nine years of age, his mother was killed by malaria from a mission trip in Africa. At the same time, Reese showed evidence of being a wizard, sending a small spark at his father while trying to discipline him. He was taken out of public school and was being homeschooled by his father.
At age eleven, Reese got his letter to Hogwarts shortly after their move to the city of London (Ian got a job in the city as a banker). Ian taught Reese about the wizard world as much as he was taught when a professor came knocking on his door to hand him his letter. Reese was intrigued and couldn't wait to come to Hogwarts.
