Character Description:
A lovely belle with waves of ebony locks, erupts into the halls with instant scents of rosemary and sage. Such earthly intoxications grace the floors in a suit so elegant, only a Pureblood could pull off. She is always found wearing the finest silks and leathers to be made, accenting her light blue eyes, that hint a hue of silver. When entertaining an acquaintance, a body so petite expresses her love for wizardry and dragons with each growing year. As outgoing as she is with her family, she is quite subtle when it comes to her work criteria. Verla has always been private about the information she retains, neither expressing how or why the information is so pertinent.
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
Growing up, Nikolas (older brother) and Verla were as inseparable as their parents -- always in search of something new to explore. As the years ascended, the children were off to Hogwarts and the fortress became a home to these Slytherin alumni. Even at school, Aria felt that there was an irregularity in the bloodline of her ancestors, which ignited her passion for history and ancient magic. All dreams had been consumed by nightmares of wars, battles, and the powers of old. In the back of her mind, Aria wondered -- if witches, wizards and monsters existed, why couldn’t a god or goddess? She felt destined to bring good unto the world around -- by keeping evil at bay.
Verlassena is a strong willed young woman with a kind heart for those who earn it. The cold that consumes her aura is what keeps the evil (and idiocy) away from her sight, leaving quite a surpassing challenge. Making friends was easy -- if Verla would allow those who wanted her acquaintance to stay. Throughout the years spent at Hogwarts, she made sure not to allow any of her ‘friends’ to get too close, but all that changed when she graduated with high honors. Come her seventh year at Hogwarts, it was the most difficult mission, but it was one she finished. After years of travelling the muggle world, she has found herself back to the world she had escaped for so long. It was now her time to hunt the evil that threatened both worlds -- behind a good book.
Background
Mother: Helena Beschutzer - 54 - Auror (Missing In Action)
Father: Jacob Knox - 57 - Department of Magical Games and Sports (Missing)
Siblings: Nikolas Knox - 30 - Hogwarts Graduate (Missing)
Country of Origin: Aberdeen, Scotland & Frankfurt, Germany
Heritage: Pureblood
History:
Upon entering the Quidditch Tournament, Helena was met by quite the handsome young man – Jacob Knox. From that moment on, life would never be the same again. Hailing from Italy, Helena was quite the known witch and had been recruited as an Auror for the Ministry of Magic. The Cup was only one of the many perks she would receive amongst working with the Ministry; they did not mention Jacob would be one of them. After the few years they spent together, they welcomed a baby boy into the family. Nikolas was soon met with his baby sister, Verlassena, who took on a name from her mother’s origin. After the birth of their little girl in Scotland, the Knox’s decided to it was best to move to Germany – allowing Helena to dig deeper into her family’s history.
Over the years spent in Frankfurt and surrounding cities, Jacob had gotten a letter requesting his return to Scotland. Of course he would not leave his family but out of nowhere, his wife agreed the move would be best – the sooner the better. The children had barely reached their teens when Nikolas’ letter came. Hogwarts had called upon Nikolas to attend; this being one of the grandest schools for witchcraft and wizardry, he accepted. As her brother went off to school, Verlassena knew it would only be a matter of time before receiving her letter.
Through the single year that she was alone with her parents, Verlassena began to notice…problems. Jacob and Helena had never fought but had begun bickering about a certain subject – quite often. It was one late night that the argument expanded throughout the house and Verlassena was all too eager to listen. Within the hours of eavesdropping on her parents, Verlassena learned more than any littler girl should know. What was her mother fighting for and why wouldn’t her parents tell her about the problems arising. It was clear now that Verlassena would have to figure out why her mother was leaving -- on her own.
One year later, Nikolas was met by his sister on Platform 9 & ¾; the adventure was only beginning. Through the years, Nikolas protected his sister but always wondered how a Slytherin could be so studious. She had spent majority of her years in the library, even gaining access into the restricted area – which was a hard task in itself. Upon graduation, Helena had gone missing during a routine mission, throwing Nikolas head first into their father's personal mission. Jacob was determined to find his wife’s and bring her home safely. As an Auror, Helena was perfect in the hunt but her husband was better with games. It was now up to Jacob and Nikolas, but would they find her in time?
Verlassena entered her Seventh year with a semblance of happiness, only to be shortly lived. The owl dropped the urgent letter whilst dining in the Great Hall and it stated that her brother was not planning on coming back. Verlassena threw the parcel away, only regarding it as a misunderstanding – Nikolas was known for his dramatics and this was yet another. Being a Slytherin had come as a great honor but she vowed never to become as sinister as the cult wreaking havoc on muggles. Verlassena may have been of pureblood, but not of evil – the kindness within her fuels a brilliant mind. The moment she had left Hogwarts, was spent travelling the world in search of information, answers and hopes of finding her family.
Eventually her hunt had come without many answers, finding herself in the halls of the Ministry of Magic. Like her mother, Verla pursued the chance to become an Auror, protector against the Dark Arts and any dark wizards who dared raise an evil demise. As it came to be, with the recent number of events, the Aurors Office would be needed more than ever -- she would be needed elsewhere. Knowing her past of seeking out and acquiring knowledge, the Headmaster had approached her with a job working in the castle's library. After her years of exploring the depths of the muggle and wizard world, Verla had decided to return to her true home -- Hogwarts. With her family's disappearance and a dead end trail as to their whereabouts, the castle would be the safest place to be at this time. Danger was afoot and this young witch anticipated the coming events.
