Character Description:
Tall, dark, and a little pretty, latino lady was a spitfire. Her entire body was dark- dark eyes held around a dark complexion, with black-brown locks of hair cascading all around her features. She was on the tall side, and when not in her houses robes, could be considered something to look at. (Horrible. Will probably be revised ASAP.)
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
Carmelita's household was nothing normal. Due to this, she displays a harsh, mean exterior. she doesnt normally make friends, and clashes with almost anyone. She aims not to let anyone in, keeping her walls high with everyone. In one on one conversation, she is known to break into quick Spanish and simply walk away, even with her teachers.
Carmen (as she some times shortens her name) can be summed up as mean and anti-social. However if you can some how manage to become her friend, she'll be by your side no matter what.

History:
Carmelita was born in Alamos, Mexico. Her mother was very young when she was born, and disowned by her family for not getting an abortion like they all wanted her too. However, the then 23 Danilo de la Cruz would not have that, and brought Sabrina into his family. As the years progressed, Carmelita was both raised and protected by her family and the many friends they had, almost never left alone. When she was around age five, her father started getting a temper, yelling more often and some times not coming home till late. It only got worse as the years continued, he steadily got more violent and relied more and more on alcohol to feel okay.
When Carmen was eight, that was the first time her father really got physically violent. He had been yelling and screaming and breaking furniture at the point, but had never struck anyone. It was in this instance where he did for the first time, slapping Carmen's mother hard across the face. From that day on, physical violence became a daily thing for the family.
Danilo drank heavily and experimented with cocaine a little here and there. He had been introduced to gang-life by an older brother, and though he never committed to any of the gangs, made friends with some of there members. Most of the violence was fueled by the drugs her partook in.
When she was ten, they moved to England to 'start over'. Her father had only become more and more violent, abusing Carmen and her mother on a daily basis. In England, he kept his word of never hitting them for about three months, but started again after being fired form his job for failing a drug test. His abuse is the reason Carmes acts how she does- she wants no one to know what her past was like and she her as she is. She wants no pity, no comfort.

Carmelita suffers from anorexia, bought of depression, she is emotionally distant and occasionally self-harms. All attributed to her past.
