Black robes embroidered with a silver and green snake, the emblem of her house, were worn proudly across her shoulders. She wore a gray vest underneath, and a black skirt, with the sock pulled way over her knees, as though she much preferred to wear trousers.
Personality Outline:
Rather timid, nervous and a downright coward. She prefers to stay out of the limelight, instead backing up the leader. Louise enjoys a good book and a hearty debate, but one has to be good friends or she's likely to be easily offended by everything you say. Naturally good at her favored classes and rather terrible at her least favorite, she only lacks in solid homework assignments. Revision and study isn't her strongest attribute. In fact, sometimes she feels she has no strong attribute, no place in the world. Her real love is philosophy and she often debates such with her cat. Not that it can talk back. Friends are few and far in between.

The Cartia's were a strong magical bloodline, descended from Austria. Yvonne Cartia's mother, Louise's grandmother, moved to England after a horrible divorce with her grandfather. There, the line continued. The family was rich back in Austria, but in England they were starting from scratch again. By the time Yvonne was born, they were considered middle-class. Yvonne turned out to be a very capable witch, although she never really attempted a career. Louise was born and magic was taught to her relatively early. However, she had no interest in it, right up until the Hogwarts invitation. The first 2 years went well.. average. She didn't excel or do terrible at anything and never really created any strong friendships. Louise spent most of her time in the library or the dormitories and her closest friend is her pet cat, Ozzy.
