Character Description:
An average girl with an average freckly look. The 16-year-old has reddish brown hair, usually pulled back into twin plaits that go down to her mid-back, feathery bangs stop above brown eyes that appear to have flecks of green upon closer inspection. Her skin is pale but tanned due to doing her homework outside most of the time. She often has reading glasses stuck in her shirt, wearing the usual school attire; blouse, skirt, robes...proudly displaying the Gryffindor coloration of scarlet and gold. She is often seen with a small, reddish owl perched on her shoulder, referring to him as 'Nugget'. She is usually graced with a smile on her face, if one could see through she book she usually has planted in front of it.
Personality Outline:
Kathie is a friendly girl, who loves to chat about magic and flying, seeming to be a little bit of a daredevil when it comes to the latter. She's not a social butterfly, but will always say hello to those she meets, unless they are from Slytherin. She seems a bit of a bookworm, most of her reads are typically about Transfiguration, hoping to someday become a registered Animagus. You won't see Kathie dueling, not very confident in regards to her jixes and hexes, or her Defense against the Dark arts skills.

History:
Kathie was born in a small cottage on the moors of England, eventually moved into London so her Father could work at a large business, and her mother to work in Diagon Alley. As a baby, she had dark hair like her mother, unlike her brother who had gained his fathers firey locks. She was brought up with a little magic here and there, as her mother was a Pureblood and her father was a Muggle, but most of her entertainment came from the complaints of her brother as he went to Muggle School. That is, until he turned 11. He had shown magical promise at a young age, being an 'early' bloomer, often using his little sister as a guinea pig to show off the random things he could do. But once he went to tame his magical talent at Hogwarts, Kathie was left alone to her own devices. She was often caught reading her mother magical books on potions, cleaning and cooking, as well as laughing to herself at comparing her mothers family albums to her fathers; her mothers had moving pictures!
Kathie didn't show any magical talents until she was about 9-years-old, when she accidentally turned the television remote into a rat. Naturally her mother was ecstatic, her father just as proud, but perhaps a little disappointed that he didn't have a child that was 'normal' like him. From then on, Kathie's mother had to watch over her, as the child kept turning things into live animals, most of the books in their personal library becoming spiders and making quite a webby mess in the room.
When the girl finally turned 11, her own journey was beginning. Her brother was in his 6th year when she started, but he did well to ignore her and pretend she didn't exist; no wonder, as he was placed into Slytherin. But Kathie didn't care, making friends of her own and excelling early on at Transfiguration and Charms, two classes where she couldn't take her eyes and ears off of the teacher. Although interested in the delights of flying, Kathie decided to focus on her studies rather then take to the sky in Quidditch, preferring to watch the rather dangerous event then partake in it.
As the years went by, it was no surprise that the girl was one of the best in her class at Transfiguration and Charms, still lagging behind when it came to Defense Against the Dark Arts. But she dealt with her weaknesses, everyone had at least one. She became friends with many, enemies of quite a few, but no one she could really confide in if she needed it.
Now in her sixth year, hardly changed much from the first, the girl strives to find someone who she could connect with, on any level, and have some last adventures before going off into the work force two years from now.
