Desired House/Staff Position: Hufflepuff
Year: 5th
Race: Caucasian with some Middle-Eastern in there somewhere
Height/Weight: 5'9"/120 lbs, tall with square shoulders and a bony, gangly frame
Conditions: An astigmatism both eyes causes her to be somewhat far-sighted (or whichever one means that things that are close are harder to see... whisper me if you know xD), but she rarely wears glasses. When necessary (like testing or studying or flying brooms), she favors her half-moon spectacles with willow frames. Along with this physical disability, she also has a learning disability that makes reading and excelling in class even more difficult: Anechka is dyslexic. It often takes her several minutes to read even the most simple of paragraphs. Thus, she is self-conscious about reading aloud and prefers to stay away from books.

Character Description:
The young witch has harsh, straight-lined features over-all. Her nose is prominent and aquiline, her intense gray eyes and lips are thin and severe looking, and her high arching, narrow eye-brows give her a very unforgiving appearance.
Her style varies, but she keeps to wearing faux-fur often, perhaps stealing some of her fashion sense from her mother. She rarely cares for her hair, so it falls to her mid-back in a tangled, curly heap. Occasionally she piles it atop her head in a messy bun just for sanity's sake.
Personality Outline:
A passionate girl with a thirst for strong relationships and fairy-tale endings, Anechka is as loyal as she is starry-eyed. Not particularly adept at magic (in fact, she's rubbish in many areas), she prefers the more physical activities like broom flying. Although in no way is she dumb, Anechka's intelligence is nothing to write home about, so she's a middling student despite her best efforts to impress her professors. Instead, she's more of a creative type and is often seen painting with her wand or sketching with her beloved set of charcoal pencils.

Yliss (Muggle. Deceased. Died of complications of pneumonia)

Markov, Muggle, aged 35 years, gardener
Siblings:

Country of Origin: Ukraine
Heritage: Muggle-born
History:
Anechka was born during a frigid winter in Ukraine. Her parents decided that raising children in such an environment was simply not for them, so they moved to the rolling emerald hills of the Scottish countryside. Despite seeking a milder climate, the neighbors often joked that the "chill never left their veins."
Apparently magic runs in the Fedorchak family. When her older brother turned eleven, a strangely dressed man arrived at their door and explained everything to Anechka's parents, they were shocked and dubious. The middle-aged man with a short, finely trimmed goatee whipped out a wand, at which point Anechka giggled from behind her father's legs. The strange man grinned as he asked her to come out from her "hiding place" and conjured up a daisy that sang a little ditty and then turned to glass. He handed the iridescent flower to her as she shrieked with glee, and her parents stood on the thresh-hold of their home, at a loss for words. That fall, Dmitri was carted off to Hogwarts.
Anechka's eleventh birthday took ages to arrive, from her perspective, but it finally did. No man came to the door bearing fabulous gifts, and she became despondent. For several days she sullenly paced the entryway, causing her parents some worry. One early evening, the family heard a shrill screech and a tap-tap-tap on the window over the kitchen sink. Anechka's father picked up a coal poker and crept into the kitchen. Anechka and her mother looked at each other in fearful silence, hoping it was not a burglar. Suddenly her father's booming laughter cascaded from the other room, and Anechka and her mother came running.
There, perched on the white-washed windowsill, was huge, weary looking owl with a letter clutched in its beak. The recipient was clearly visible in large, flowing script: "Anechka M. Fedorchak, from the office of the Headmaster of The Wizarding School of Hogwarts."
As Anechka jumped out and down and babbled excitedly, her father unlatched the window and the owl thrust its great, feathery head inside the house. Anechka sped over to it and stood on her tip-toes to "relieve the poor thing of its burden" (i.e. snatch it from his beak). Inside the letter, the writer apologized for the delay- it seemed that the muggle postman had lost the letter originally sent to them and went on to explain what she would need for her first year. Anechka was to attend Hogwarts, just like her brother!
The months dragged on, but finally Anechka got on the Hogwarts Express. It made a short stop at Hogsmeade and she was led to the necessary shops by a Prefect with the other First Years. Her wand chose her quickly: as it touched her hand, soft, giddy music emitted from no where, causing the wandmaker to laugh. It seemed this passionate, romantic wand had met its perfect match.
Her pet was harder to find, for she is not the best with animals; Far too loud and boisterous for most timid creatures. Finally a small white owl with brown striped feathers hopped to the end of its perch in the owl enclosure and tilted its head to an awkward looking angle as it blinked at her. Anechka pointed out the owl to the shop owner and, after putting on some thick leather gloves, reached into the enclosure and clutched at the bird's legs. It screeched loudly and flapped its wings in an attempt to free itself, causing every single animal in the shop to break into a chaotic frenzy of noise. At length the bird was forced into a brass cage and resigned itself to staring glumly at Anechka as if she had committed some terrible atrocity. She laughed and decided on a name for him: K'vetch, or "complain" in Yiddish.
---
The years passed quickly, but studying came no easy to her. With the rash of mysterious murders and disappearances, Anechka was forced to stay inside the castle more and more. Her thirst for the outdoors has earned her a few detentions and house point deductions, essentially barring her ever becoming a Prefect (not that she wanted to anyway), but she has learned ways to relax without tredding on the grounds unsupervised.
