Character Description:
His skin is tanned from days spent sitting around outside. He stands a smidge taller then the average height, and he has a slim build that could almost be called lanky. He’s not particularly muscular, but that’s to be expected from a bookworm. His glasses are unstylish and round, but they get the job done. His hair is light brown and longer then most guys, but not so long that it makes him look like a girl. It’s tucked behind his ears so it doesn’t keep falling in his face. The bangs are blue from when his sister died them. His features look almost feminine, but not so much that you’d mistake him for one. He has deep green eyes and a crooked smile. He wears a blue bandanna around his head on occasion, to help keep his hair out of his face. [Ravenclaw]
Personality/Beliefs Outline:
He says he doesn’t like to involve himself in other’s problems, but that’s the opposite of the truth. He likes to boss others around and tell people exactly what he thinks. Fortunately he manages to restrain from doing that, mainly because it’s gotten him beat up in earlier years of his academic career at Hogwarts. He’s quite intelligent because he has a good memory and understanding of topics, as well as being a fast learner. However he often doesn’t pay attention and slacks off in class because it doesn’t interest him. Loric scares easily. He’s very superstitious and he doesn’t like suspense or horror films of any kind because they make him jumpy. He’s good with children, but not always with people older then him because he doesn’t understand them quite as much.
Loric believes that everyone, including magical beasts, is equal. He voices this opinion frequently. He has no specific religious beliefs, although religion fascinates him. He thinks of them as well written and thought out fictional stories.
Background
Mother: Lindsay O’Riley, Deceased
Father: Benedict O’Riley, Deceased
Siblings: Jade O’Riley, 11, student (Muggle)
Country of Origin: Northern Ireland
Heritage: Pureblood
History:
Loric lived happily with his parents and his younger sister Jade for the first eight years of his life. They lived in the Irish countryside, mostly cut off from civilization, both muggle and magical even though both of the adults held jobs with the ministry as aurors. They were home schooled. Because of the parent’s jobs, they could be away from home for a very long time. Also because of this, Loric had to take care of his sister and himself at an extraordinarily young age. They were good parents and they didn’t want their children raised like that, but they didn’t trust anyone to baby-sit for them. On Loric’s eighth birthday, they were killed by a dark wizard that they had been hunting right in front of his eyes.
Because of this, he curled into his own little shell and didn’t speak to anyone at all for three years. His little sister had to comfort and watch out for him instead of the other way around when they went into foster care. He began to speak again once he found out that his parents had been wizards and that he was as well. Unfortunately, his sister was a squib and couldn’t be part of the world. They still send owls to each other regularly.
