Character Description:
Long dirty blonde hair is parted meticulously down the middle, outlining a face that would have held childhood innocence if it had not been for the hardened blue eyes. Freckled cheeks and baby nose can't soften the stone-cold expression the young girl wears. Pink lips are never turned up into a smile; face perpetually scowling. Clothes hang loosely from her lithe form; stature and age not quite fitting the mature, angry expression in her eyes. A child forced to grow up too early, but looking every inch like a delicate flower that has been trampled.
Personality Outline:
Antisocial is almost an understatement. Growing up in foster care and never able to have a secure attachment with anyone, Bronwyn has come to associate relationships as innately harmful to the self. Therefore she will do anything in her power to push everyone away from her. Needless to say, most can sum her up in one word. Bitch. Let down by almost every adult she has come into contact with, Bronwyn has a complete disregard for authority. She is her own person and will do whatever the hell she wants, whenever the hell she wants. She will listen to no one and become more defiant the more demanding one becomes. On top of it all, Bronwyn is exceptionally smart, adding to her condescending and sarcastic attitude. Due to a lack of control over her own life, Bronwyn has developed obsessive compulsive disorder; essentially a neat freak and a perfectionist.
Background
Mother: Aderyn Tudor, deceased
Father: Unknown
Country of Origin: Aberdovey, Wales
Heritage: Muggleborn
History:
There were many complications during Bronwyn's birth. Not long after the unwed Ms. Tudor went into labour did it become a question of mother's life, or baby's. Ms. Tudor opted for her daughter to live, and with no father present, or no one to object, the doctors saved Bronwyn and Ms. Tudor inevitably bled out and died. Bronwyn's father, who eventually showed up at the hospital, wanted nothing to do with the girl. And so Bronwyn entered a life of foster homes and rejected adoption papers. Passed from home to home, adult to adult, Bronwyn never established a stable bond with anyone. As she grew up, she learned that getting close to anyone only brought pain.
Bronwyn was well on her way to becoming a troublesome child with no hope of adoption when a silver lining came. A couple, unable to have their own children, were looking to adopt. The then seven year old Bronwyn was skeptical at first, already having been through many foster homes with no luck in the adoption spectrum. But after spending time with the child, the couple finally agreed to the adoption. Bronwyn was signed over and allowed herself to become close to the two, holding onto the belief that she could find her own happy, perfect family after all. But unfortunately for Bronwyn, she faced ridicule and bullying at school. Not only did she fight back with physical violence, but things she couldn't explain began to happen. Time after time she was sent to the principal's office. Expelled. School after school. Eventually the headache of Bronwyn and her antisocial, violent ways got the best of the couple and Bronwyn was released from their care, back into the foster system a mere year and a half after the adoption papers had been signed. Bronwyn sank deeper and deeper into despair, her antisocial personality becoming a defense mechanism. She became a bigger headache for social services as she wreaked havoc on placement after placement.
Despite the prestige of her last name, and a distant claim to the throne, Bronwyn appeared to be well on her way to becoming a juvenile delinquent when social services received a letter from someone claiming to be a distant relation of the girl's. Eager to be rid of Bronwyn, adoption papers were signed with little regard as to who the mystery family member was and their connection to the youngster. No sooner had Bronwyn been released into the care of a woman who claimed to be a descendent of Bronwyn's great, great, great aunt's childhood friend, was she shipped off to Hogwarts. Only a meager understanding of her family history and the trust fund that had been left behind for the next witch or wizard in a long line of muggles accompanying her into the world of magic.
Bronwyn's first year at Hogwarts was one spent almost exclusively in class and in the library. The antisocial muggleborn kept to herself as much as possible, and when it wasn't, she often started arguments and fights in her effort to push others away. Detention after detention, Bronwyn was quickly becoming a problem child. The solution that faculty sought, mostly the Slytherin Head of House, was one of negative reinforcement; she was unable attend the year end feast, not that the girl had been looking forward to going anyway. The biggest blow came when she was prevented from even trying out for her house's quidditch team, although the reaction the professors had probably been hoping for (this would cause Bronwyn to behave) only pushed her to be more of a pain of the ass. Expulsion may be imminent in her second year...
